Another picture.

"By adopting a child and helping them reach their potential they help us reach ours.  An adopted child is not an unwanted child; to the contrary.  They are a child who was searched for, prayed for, cried for, begged for; received by arms that ached making empty hearts full. Love is meant to be shared"  Author Unknown.

  1. Love all the new pics and your new blog header pic! Isn't it funny how they love shoes? My hubby's pocket book is going to be EMPTY come teen years! I'm so glad she's adjusting so well!!

  2. I just stumbled onto your blog. We adopted our daughter from Luga, which is 2 hours away from St Pete, almost a year ago. It sounds like your Polina is doing great. We too had feeding difficulties and still do at times. Our daughter is still pretty tiny and the Dr wants her to eat more high fat foods. It took a while for us to realize but our Josie has reflux. She too would eat banana at first then then absolutely refused these as well as a lot of other food including milk. Since getting her on reflux medicine she eats better but still not great. Our daughter too rocked herself at bedtime. I pat her back when she is doing it but I think it is just a hard habit to break. There are many nights that she does it in her sleep still and she has been home almost a year. Otherwise she is adjusted very well. Take care, you daughter is beautiful.
